RAKSO STEEL WOOL • STEEL SHAVINGS • STAINLESS STEEL WOOL

Universal products for polishing, sanding and cleaning a wide variety of surfaces, including wood, metal, glass and stone. Multilingual cardboard sleeve with specific instructions.

RAKSO STEEL WOOL is available in nine grades which are all arranged in an easy-to-use colour-coded system: YELLOW represents fine wool, ORANGE is medium and RED is coarse.

The fine wools, numbered 0000, 000 and 00, can be used for smoothing wood after staining, reapplying wax to waxed wood, cleaning plastic blinds and garden furniture thoroughly yet gently, and buffing up aluminium, copper and brass.

The medium wools, numbered 0, 1 and 2, can be used for smoothing wood after priming, removing old paint with solvents, sanding plasterboard, removing residual dirt from tiles and stone flooring, and polishing copper piping and fittings prior to soldering.

The coarse wools, numbered 3, 4 and 5, are ideal for accentuating the natural grain of softwoods (e.g. pine and spruce), scratch-free cleaning of glass stone and glass bricks, and for giving a distressed shabby-chic look to old coats of varnish and paint.

RAKSO Steel Shavings are made from even coarser, stronger steel fibres than RAKSO Steel Wool. They are available in four grades: FINE, MEDIUM, COARSE and EXTRA COARSE.

By using RAKSO Steel Shavings with solvents, you can strip strongly grained wood and remove stubborn dirt from metal, stone and ceramic surfaces.

RAKSO STAINLESS STEEL WOOL can be used on damp surfaces and with solvents. It is made from rust-free stainless steel fibres (1.4113). RAKSO STAINLESS STEEL WOOL is available in four grades: EXTRA FINE, FINE, MEDIUM and COARSE.

RAKSO stainless steel wool is rust-free and therefore ideal for cleaning, sanding and polishing with chemicals and on wet surfaces. Wood containing tannins, such as oak, mahogany and walnut can be treated without causing any blue discoloration of the grain.
